Wesley Mission Queensland are looking for Support Team Members on a part time basis. The purpose of this role is to provide our care and hospitality teams with assistance and support that will assist them in providing the best quality care and support to the residents.

We are looking for people with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, who have a willingness to contribute in a positive manner within a team environment. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

1.      Align one's workplace behaviour in accordance with the WMQ Model of Care, the Wesley Charter and Wesley Mission Queensland's Vision, Mission and Values.

2.      Build positive relationships with Residents, families and colleagues.

3.      Positively contribute to the warmth and welcoming culture of the Home. 

4.      Make resident beds and ensure that rooms are tidy and welcoming.

5.      Answer call bells and phone calls and act as a messenger service relaying messages to the relevant Care or Hospitality teams.

6.      Assist residents with meals and drinks and make individual tea and coffees for residents and family visitors as required.

7.      Undertake stock control ensuring that adequate stock levels remain and that linen is restocked as required

8.      Sit and spend quality time with a resident with dementia.

9.      Undertake social activities with individual residents around their individual interests.

10.   Assist Resident to stay in contact with their friends and families via virtual platforms and technology.

11.   Assist Resident with non care day to day needs, including reading, retrieving and adjusting remote controls, use of electronics and technology.

12.   Assist residents with their Hearing Aids, and their eye glasses, ensure their glasses are clean,

13.   Where required make phone contact with family representatives to facilitate conversation between Residents and their loved ones.

14.   Assist with food service delivery to resident's rooms when required.

15.   Maintain privacy and confidentiality and adhere to the WMQ code of conduct.
