Groundsperson and Bus Driver

Rosemount Retirement Community is looking for a friendly, people orientated, all rounder with general maintenance, cleaning and driving skills.

This is a new role assisting the residents of our brand new retirement village.  Responsibilities include general maintenance, grounds, cleaning and driving our residents in the village bus.

Key Role Accountabilities:

1. Align one's workplace behaviour in accordance with Wesley Mission Queensland's Vision, Mission and Values.
2. Provide programmed cleaning for areas as per schedule and as required by the village manager.
3. Maintain external environment and provide general assistance around the site.
4. Maintain and facilitate waste management schedules for the site.
5. Provide general handyman/maintenance services.
6. Comply with any reasonable requests in relation to service provision.
7. Drive the village vehicle in a responsible, lawful, safe and courteous manner, being responsible for the safe loading, securing and unloading of passengers and the safe storage of equipment whilst maintaining a client-centred focus at all times.
8. Conduct safety checks of the vehicle, arrange regular servicing of the vehicle and refuel as required
9. Ensure that the vehicle is parked legally and safely and that it is locked at all times.
10. Attend scheduled mandatory training sessions as required.
11. Use chemicals in a safe and economic manner as directed by the village manager and or MSDS.
12. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and use equipment in a safe manner.
13. Follow all WMQ Work Health & Safety and Infection Control procedures and guidelines.
14. Maintain store areas in a clean and tidy state, with chemicals stored as per MSDS.
15. Participate as part of the Wheller on the Park Team, with due respect to resident's privacy, comfort and safety.
