About the Role
WMQ's Community Care Program is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Care Workers in the Bundaberg region to join our team on a casual basis with weekend availability a must. This role is primarily responsible for providing quality care services to clients in their own homes in accordance with their care plan.
We require flexibility to work shifts between the hours of 6:00am up until 9:00pm. The successful applicants will be able to work with minimum supervision and be adaptable within their availability to suit and meet client needs. This role requires you to have a Comprehensively insured Motor Vehicle, Current Driver's Licence and willingness to drive and use own vehicle in the course of work. Vehicle must be suitable for transportation of clients if required.
Key Duties Include
· Personal care (showering/dressing) · Continence management · Assistance with meals · Domestic Assistance (cleaning) · Shopping · Assistance with transport for medical appointments · Social activities · Carer support · In home respite care and access to other services and any other tasks as stated in the care plan.
Skills and Experience
· Certificate III in the field of Aged Care, Disability or Mental Health or equivalent/relevant qualifications. (We will consider applicants working towards these qualifications) · Ability to provide excellent, flexible and holistic care to a variety of customers with varying needs · Understand and commitment to the principles and practices of privacy, confidentiality and professional boundaries in relation to all customers and staff · To record and submit daily tasks and time sheets accurately (i.e. in live time) via the ComCare system · Ability to report changes in a customer's condition, needs or other relevant information to the customer's case manager or coordinator · Comprehensively insured Motor Vehicle, Current Driver's Licence and willingness to drive and use own vehicle (if required) in the course of work
