The Position:

Wesley Mission Queensland Group61 program is seeking a Project Officer to work with the Inclusion Coordinator, partners and external stakeholders to manage the implementation of Group61 Youth (G61Y) and support the daily operations of the Group61 program.  This position is a 5 month fixed term position, working an average of 44 hours per fortnight. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensure partnership relationships are developed and maintained
  • Implement G61Y program
  • Have oversight of related therapeutic group work activities including art therapy
  • Support the development of G61Y and mitigate risks and challenges as they emerge
  • Working with the Inclusion Coordinator, plan, schedule and track project timelines, milestones and deliverables and provide regular reporting
  • Effectively manage complaints and feedback on G61Y
  • Develop project evaluation process
  • Support the Inclusion Coordinator with the running of the broader Group61 program

 

The Successful Applicant:

The successful applicant will have experience and / or qualifications in social work / mental health with a sound understanding of the impact of social isolation on health and wellbeing.  They will demonstrate an empathetic and non-judgemental approach to G61 members.  The role requires excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Availability to work evening and weekend hours is essential.
