Clinical Nurse Consultant (ACFI)

Working alongside residential facility staff the Clinical Nurse Consultant will gather detailed information and assessments on the residents to ensure efficient utilisation of ACFI whilst confirming they match the care needs of the resident. In addition, you will strive to maximise funding by providing the optimal level of ACFI detail you will maintain and extend the quality of care throughout the facilities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Audit and evaluate ACFI assessments and submissions
- Ensuring that claims are submitted in an accurate, timely and efficient manner resulting in the maximisation of available funding.
- Accountability in their work and attention to detail
- Ensure documentation is completed in a correct & timely manner
- Ensure claims are consistent and accurate
- Ensure maximisation and compliance with regulations
- Provide mentoring and coaching
- Evaluate outcomes such as downgrades or increases in funding
- Assess residents to ensure they get the appropriate care needs
- Generate reports on a regular basis
- For this very special role we are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with a deep commitment to the provision of aged care in a manner that lives the values of the organisation.
In additional the successful application will have:
- Excellent communications with problem solving & negotiations skills
- The ability to identify and analyse potential funding opportunities to maximise resident care related income
- Have a strong ability to develop and provide ACFI education & training to staff at all levels within a facility
- Demonstrated detailed knowledge of ACFI education & training to staff at all levels within a facility
- Minimum 3 years experience in aged care
- Registration with APHRA
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to drive in the course of work - working out of multiple sites in any one day.
