Personal Carer

Youngcare Apartments, Wooloowin currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Personal Carers to join our team. This role will be primarily responsible for the provision of high quality, comprehensive personal care assistance and lifestyle support to our residents. The successful applicant will have solid experience in the provision of such care to people with a disability, along with a Certificate III or IV in Disability (or related field).
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Align one’s workplace behaviour in accordance with the WMQ Charter, Values and Mission of the organisation.
- Work as part of a team to provide an integrated service to meet each individual’s needs.
- Support individuals with all aspects of daily living, including but not restricted to, personal care, domestic duties, hospitality services and social/community participation.
- Support individuals to attain and maintain their optimum degree of independence and quality of life.
- Provide individuals with a physically and emotionally secure environment and promote their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual well being.
- To participate in Workplace Health and Safety, infection control and training as required.
- Work within the Human Services Quality Framework.
- Recognise health and environmental hazards in the work place and assist with corrective action.
- Be an active participant in a continuous quality improvement environment.
- Adhere to Wesley Mission Queensland’s policies and procedures and Code of Conduct.
- Other relevant duties as directed.
