About the Role

Hopewell Hospice provides excellence in Hospice and Palliative Care in a peaceful home-style environment. We are looking for dedicated personal carers to fill casual positions available for AM, PM and Overnight shifts across a 7 day roster. The majority of the shifts available are the Overnight so must be willing and happy to work this shift. 

Key Duties Include

·         Personal Care

·         Assistance with meals

·         Light Domestic Duties

·         Social/Community participation

·         Social activities

·         Carer support

Skills and Experience

·         Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent/relevant qualification

·         Current First aid Certificate or willingness to obtain

·         Demonstrated ability to provide excellent and flexible holistic care to a variety of customers

·         Accurate record keeping and sound computer skills with the Microsoft suite of applications.

·         Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the principles and practices of privacy, confidentiality and professional boundaries in relation to all customers and staff.

·         Comprehensively insured Motor Vehicle, Current Driver's Licence and willingness to drive and use own vehicle (if required) in the course of work
