Office365 Specialist

The Office365 Specialist is an emerging role in the Business Solutions Group (BSG) and will play a pivotal role in the operationalising of the Office 365 suite.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide support across the organization (this may be in person, online or over the phone)
- Provide accurate Incident Resolution and Service Request management, within established Service Level Targets, meeting or exceeding end-user requirements and expectations
- Identify and effectively prioritize all Incidents and Service Requests requiring urgent attention
- Manage proactive ready-for-business checks, identify and fix gaps, and respond promptly to failure
- Develop an understanding of other organizational technology systems that interface with other systems to assist with the troubleshooting of inbound inquires related to departmental systems
- Office 365 Technologies - Power Apps, Power Automate, MS Teams, Power BI, Intune
- Microsoft Exchange with Email Archiving and/ or Exchange On-Line
- Microsoft SharePoint (including SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business)
- Microsoft Windows PowerShell / PowerShell DSC
- Azure / AWS Cloud Technologies
- Integrating on-premises Active Directory with Azure AD as well as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Assist in the development of support processes for O365 and other cloud-based services including configure and maintain portals, sites, pages, document libraries and access control.
- Provide high level technical support for on-line maintenance, fault diagnosis and the identification and implementation of remedial action including identification of new areas and business processes where Office 365 can be leveraged to continual process improvement
- Adhering to CIS Microsoft 365 Practices
- Ensure the operational health of the SharePoint online environment including security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability
- Maintenance, and sustainment of additional complementary functionality for customer sub sites, lists, libraries, and content
- Training and educating end-users on O365 capabilities and collaboration tools (OneDrive, Skype, OneNote, Outlook etc)
- Perform software upgrades and patches (bios, firmware upgrades, etc.)
- Troubleshoot various Office 365 issues including connectivity and mobility
- Conduct routine monitoring and analysis to include Audit Log Reports evaluation, system and storage utilization reports, site and system usage, growth reports, and manage site collection quota settings
