Personal Carer

Looking for an enthusiastic personal carer to join the team at Cooper House. Minimum 20 hour per fortnight. Able to work all shifts and cover for Christmas leave and annual leave. Must be a team player being willing to join a team who want to make residents lives the best they can be.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Build positive relationships with care recipients, families and colleagues.
- Positively contribute to the warmth and welcoming culture of the Home.
- Align one’s workplace behaviour with the WMQ Model of Care, the Wesley Charter and Wesley Mission
Queensland’s Vision, Mission and Values.
- Work as part of a team to provide catering, cleaning and personal care in a neighbourhood/community like
environment for care recipients.
- Assist care recipients to attain and maintain their optimum degree of independence, dignity, privacy and
quality of life.
- Report information about the care recipient’s care and wellbeing to the Registered Nurse/Clinical
Nurse/Facility Manager.
- Recognise health and environmental hazards and be proactive in corrective action, and complete all
allocated Workplace Health and Safety training.
- Contribute to the assessment of care recipients including documentation, for example ACFI documentation.
- Share your ideas about ways to improve our services.
- Put the Eden Domains of wellbeing into practice.
