To provide under the direction of the Registered Nurse, high quality nursing care for residents relevant to the role of an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse within a team that provides a continuous improvement-based environment.  This position is permanent part time with a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight offered.  The applicant should be willing to work afternoon and predominantly night shift hours.  Wesleycare Jindalee is part of Supported Accommodation which provides facilitated care to young people with a disability who have high care needs in a physical and social environment that is suitable for their age group.  The accommodation has the capacity to house 36 residents and is located on Level 1 Dovetree Building, Sinnamon Village.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1.  Align one's workplace behaviour in accordance with the WMQ Model of Care, the Wesley Charter and Wesley Mission Qld's Vision, Mission and Values
  2. To assist in the delivery of nursing care to residents
  3. To observe, monitor, interpret, document and report signs, symptoms and changes in resident's status
  4. To administer schedule 2, 3 & 4 medications under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  5. To contribute to the formulation and implementation of care plans.
  6. To assist in the orientation of new staff.
  7. To undertake procedures within the scope of knowledge and ability.
  8. To support and as appropriate direct other members of the nursing and Allied health team.
