Disability Support Worker

Asher House is seeking Disability Support Workers with a strong sense of commitment and loyalty, and with the flexibility to work all shifts around the clock to help support the service.
Asher House provides 24/7 care for individuals living with a disability who have high and complex physical needs. There is also potential to work across other sites in the area as the service is expanding with new supported accommodation builds currently underway. The successful applicant must be available for day shifts and be able to attend community access activities with residents. This may involve driving the work van on a regular basis. The successful applicant will also be required to do one on one activities. Please note that some of the shifts for community access will be short shifts.
WMQ is a leader in the development and delivery of support services to people with high and complex care needs. We are looking to employ staff who have a passion to support people with disabilities to live their best life. You need to have a Certificate III or IV in an appropriate discipline, as well as be prepared to undertake specific training in the area of supports to people with high and complex care needs. Personally you need to be compassionate, positive, collaborative, have a sense of humour and think outside the box.
Please be aware in order to be considered for this role you will need to have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' to support compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
