Personal Carer

About the role:
- The role is located at Parkview, Wheller Gardens - Chermside.
- Demonstrated high level of communication required
- Ability to use computers, handheld devices.
- Demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Build positive relationships with care recipients, families and colleagues.
- Positively contribute to the warmth and welcoming culture of the Home.
- Align one's workplace behaviour with the WMQ Model of Care, the Wesley Charter and Wesley Mission Queensland's Vision, Mission and Values.
- Work as part of a team to provide catering, cleaning and personal care in a neighbourhood/community like environment for care recipients.
- Assist care recipients to attain and maintain their optimum degree of independence, dignity, privacy and quality of life.
- Report information about the care recipient's care and wellbeing to the Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse/Facility Manager.
- Recognise health and environmental hazards and be proactive in corrective action, and complete all allocated Workplace Health and Safety training.
- Contribute to the assessment of care recipients including documentation, for example ACFI documentation.
- Share your ideas about ways to improve our services.
- Put the Eden Domains of wellbeing into practice.
