Elearning and LMS Advisor – 12-month Maternity Leave contract

As a member of our small and dynamic Learning & Development team you'll work alongside SMEs to create multimedia assets such as online modules, interactive scenarios, videos and animations for our online learning packages. This role requires strong knowledge and experience using software such as Articulate 360 and Adobe, whilst an understanding of SharePoint would also be beneficial.  You will be a key stakeholder in the new LMS launching at the time of your commencement.  Therefore, experience in the implementation of an LMS is essential.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Align the development of eLearning programs with the WMQ strategic plan, legislation, standards, quality frameworks, schemes and training needs analysis.
  2. Ensure that the eLearning modules reflect WMQ values, are educationally sound, and are considerate to the diversity and LLN levels of the learners completing the programs.
  3. Work closely with SME's to design and develop eLearning that reflects the learning needs of WMQ staff and guide SME's and stakeholders to audit and review eLearning material to ensure currency and accuracy of all modules.
  4. Manage the day-to-day operations of the WMQ LMS.  
  5. Provide scheduled reports to Directors and managers to assist with planning of training and completion of mandatory training.
     

Essential requirements include:

  • Implementation of new LMS.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HRM, Adult Vocational Education or equivalent with a focus on adult learning and development and elearning.
  • Demonstrated experience working with course authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Demonstrated solid experience in day to day management of LMS.
  • Demonstrated organisational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience training and mentoring a large organisation to use elearning platforms on multiple devices.
  • Highly effective presentation, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Current Driver's licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.
  • Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy.

 
Desirable attributes include:

  • Post study in elearning, multimedia and/or digital media design.
  • Learning and development experience within a Community Services, Aged care and / or not for profit organisation.

Essential Requirements Essential: Must have a current Drivers licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.
Essential: Demonstrated solid experience in day to day management of LMS or similar.
Essential: Demonstrated experience working with course authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, Flash, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud.
Essential: Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Essential: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or Adult and Vocational Education with a focus on adult learning and development and elearning.
Essential: Demonstrated organisational and project management skills to develop and plan short and long term objectives and manage a variety of projects to a successful conclusion.
Desirable: Actively participate in WMQ performance development processes to meet organisational requirements and own career aspirations.
Essential: Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy.
Essential: Learning Management System (LMS) Implementation
Desirable: Qualifications in Multimedia, Digital Media Design or similar
Essential: Demonstrated experience training and mentoring staff in a large organisation to use elearning platforms, online desktop tools and mobile applications such as smart phones and tablets.
Essential: Highly effective presentation, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Essential: Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with people at all levels, be self-motivated and to make prompt, reliable decisions within the bounds of allocated responsibilities.
Essential: Outstanding consultation skills with the ability to build consensus and commitment among diverse stakeholder groups.
Essential: Willingness and ability to work within the philosophies, Policies and Procedures of Wesley Mission Queensland and the Uniting Church in Australia.
