Registered Nurse

Role Purpose and Position Summary:
· Provide a high level of nursing care, including clinical practice and administration of medications. · Assess the care needs of residents. · Formulate, implement and evaluate care plans for residents. · Monitor and supervise personal care given by other staff.
This Registered Nurse position will be at a brand new facility located at Mt Gravatt which will be opening in January 2021. There are Casual positions available, hours are currently unspecified. This accommodation is part of Support Accommodation, which provides facilitated care to young people with a disability who have high care needs in a physical and social environment that is suitable for their age group. The accommodation has the capacity to house 4 residents. Each resident will have their own 2 bedroom apartment which includes a kitchen, laundry, lounge and dining within each apartment. There is also a shared space area within the accommodation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Assist in the achievement of operational goals of the service. 2. Provide direct care to residents. 3. Assist in research relevant to clinical matters. 4. Achieve outcome standards and service delivery practice in accordance with Government regulations and other relevant bodies. 5. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation. 6. Carry out comprehensive and accurate assessment of residents. 7. Develop, implement, monitor and review care plans to meet the health care needs of residents and to promote quality of life. 8. Report all complaints to the Service Manager. 9. Ensure all rights and confidentiality of residents is maintained in all matters. 10. Undertake any other duties as directed by the Manager / CNS. 11. Align one's workplace behaviour in accordance with the WMQ Model of Care, the Wesley Charter and Wesley Mission Queensland's Vision, Mission and Values.
