Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with 3 to 4 years of experience in Community Care to work across the Gympie region. This role is part-time (3 days per week) for a period of 6 months with a view to a possible extension on this.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Align own workplace behaviour in accordance with the WMQ Charter, Values and Mission of the organisation.
- Provide a high level of nursing care, clinical practice and administration of medications to allocated clients and manage own time effectively.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments, develop, implement, monitor and review care plans to meet the health care needs of clients and to promote quality of life
- Ensure client hours are kept within budgeted hours and support Case Managers with clinical issues.
- Conduct new client assessments when directed by Clinical Nurse or CNC.
- Maintain own registration requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Assist in research relevant to client clinical care.
- Participate and communicate effectively as a member of the team.
- Monitor, support and supervise clinical care given by personal carers.
- Mentor other clinical staff as directed by Clinical Nurse.
- Participate in the Performance Development System.
- Attend to other matters as directed by the Clinical Nurse or CNC.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement processes to ensure a high standard of practice and service delivery.
- Comply with the Mission, Values and Policies of Wesley Mission Queensland.
