Position Summary

Personal Carer

 

Looking for an enthusiastic team member who is willing to contribute to enriching the lives of residents living at Cooper House. Minimum 20 hours per fortnight. Must be available to work all shifts over a 24 hour period.

 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  1. Align ones workplace behaviour in accordance with the principles, values and Mission of the organisation.
  2. To work as part of a team to provide catering, cleaning and personal care in a home like environment for residents, their family and friends.
  3. To assist residents to attain and maintain their optimum degree of independence, dignity, privacy and quality of life.
  4. To report to Nurse Manager, RN, and/or Supervisor.
  5. To recognise health and environmental hazards and be proactive in corrective action.
  6. To contribute to the assessment process of residents including documentation.
  7. To be an active participant in continuous quality improvement environment.             
  8. To participate in Workplace Health and Safety, infection control and training as required.
