Clinical Nurse - Older Persons Mental Health

The Clinical Nurse - Older Persons Mental Health position sits within the COVID Recovery Service – a time limited service established to meet the mental health and psychosocial needs of the older people of the Gold Coast in responding to the effects of COVID 19.
Provision of contemporary customer-focused services including:
- Assessment of customer mental and physical health needs and formulation of relevant therapeutic plan
- Delivery of both individual and group programs
- Delivery of high quality evidence-based intervention and advice
- Regular review of customer treatment plans and goals
The position holder will possess specialist knowledge regarding mental health specific assessments, clinical treatments, referral and psycho-education interventions as they relate to older people and will support the practice of a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) which aligns with the strategic goals of Mental Health Services, Community Allied Health and Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ). Full Time or Part Time option, Fixed Term until 31/12/2021, Gold Coast - Arundel Based.

Clinical Service Delivery:
- Utilise discipline specific skills, professional mental health knowledge and clinical decision making abilities to develop individual treatment and care plans for customers.
- Complete accurate assessment and review of both physical and mental health needs of customers.
