Internal Communications Specialist

We are looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join our Internal Communications team! The Internal Communications Specialist will implement communication strategies, projects and activities that support the Internal Communications team and key stakeholders to achieve strategic communications objectives, ensuring our people are informed, engaged, connected and ready to respond to change. The role is permanent part-time at 45 hours per fortnight.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Align one's workplace behaviour in accordance with Wesley Mission Queensland's vision, mission and values
  2. Support the Internal Communications Manager with the implementation of strategies and campaigns in line with the Internal Communication Strategy
  3. Understand the benefits and value of WMQ projects and services for various target audiences and translate these into accurate and engaging content to achieve set communication objectives
  4. Produce engaging and relevant content across all internal communications channels, ensuring consistency, clarity and accessibility
  5. Review and edit content of WMQ subject matter experts
  6. Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure all content is technically correct, meets stakeholder and audience needs and achieves required approvals
  7. Project ownership of small and mid-sized communications projects and campaigns
  8. Adhere to WMQ style guide and writing guide
  9. Maintain and improve the WMQ intranet as a key internal communications platform in line with intranet best practice
  10. Coordinate and support a network of content authors
  11. Monitor and coordinate responses to comments and engagement on internal communication channels.
  12. Develop, contribute and maintain content planning to ensure the integration of content across all communication platforms.
